OCCUPATIONAL NOISE SERVICES

We conduct a workplace noise assessment or occupational noise assessment for noise exposed workplaces. A noise assessment is required if a machinery, plant or processes in a work environment are measured to be over 85dB(A).

A noise assessment is considered to be valid for five years or until plant, machinery or processes change. For example, a machinery upgrade, a change of worksite or processes made redundant.

Our noise assessments are based on recommendations contained in the AS 1269:1 (2014).

ENVIRONMENTAL NOISE ASSESSMENTS

Environmental noise asssessments are normally required by local government and state environmental regulatory authorities such as the Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage or Environmental Protection Authority in NSW.

Our environmental noise assessments are conducted against AS 1055 Environmental Noise and under regulatory authority guidelines.

NOISE ASSESSMENTS FOR PLANT AND MACHINERY

We conduct noise assessments for stationary and mobile plant and machinery.

Individual items can be assessed to determine sound power levels in accordance with AS 1217 (now replaced by ISO 3740-ISO 9614).
