Capability Statement

Hearing At Work is a professional and efficient noise consultancy that conducts environmental and occupational noise assessments. Our brief is to provide objective noise reports in order to comply with Australian standards and compliance with state regulatory authorities.

Our principal service areas are NSW, QLD and SA with the flexibility to work both city, remote and regional sites. We only use the latest digital measuring and reporting hardware and software systems. All staff hold tertiary qualifications and hold industry and manufacturer approved training competencies.

Core Competencies

• Occupational noise reports and noise assessments for plant or equipment measured in accordance with assessment standards contained in and AS 1269 (2014)
• Environmental noise impact assessments according to NSW Industrial Noise Policy (2000) and AS 1055 Acoustics- Description and Measurement of Environmental Noise
• Acoustic assessment- determination of sound power levels of machinery and equipment according to ISO 3740 (2000) (replaces AS 1217)
• Validation of ambient noise levels in Audiometric Test Environments according to AS 1269:4 Occupational Noise Management- Auditory Assessment

Capacity

• Next day turnaround for new plant noise analysis
• Next day turnaround for validation of Audiometric Testing Environments (Acoustic Booths, Quiet Rooms)
• Same week reporting for occupational noise assessments
• 8 week turnaround environmental noise assessments (weather dependent)

Quality Management Systems

We are currently undergoing the accreditation process for ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management and AS/NZS 4801 Health and Safety Management Systems and will update our website once this attained.

All hearing and noise work is performed by qualified and competent professionals according to AS/NZS 1269 (2014) and AS 1055 (1997) and meets all WHS Regulations.
